Intimate Space
Intimate Space artist statement
Silent motion into the intimate, 2017 – 2024
My drawings explore the subtle interplay between intimacy and movement, capturing the essence of fleeting, deeply personal moments. Through pencil on paper, I trace the quiet, often invisible shifts that occur within our internal landscapes. Paper, with its inherent fragility, becomes a metaphor for impermanence - while movement reflects the fluid, ever-evolving nature of perception and memory.
Rather than depicting physical form, these works give shape to emotional states and transient experiences. By attending closely to the nuances of space, gesture, and rhythm, I hope to evoke a sense of quiet connection and introspection. Each piece invites the viewer to pause, to notice, and to find resonance in the subtle, ephemeral details that so often pass unnoticed in the flow of daily life.
